A student BAFTA award-winning documentary about migrant farmworker Wenceslao Contreras-Galvan who sacrifices being near his family to provide a better life for his children in Mexico. The film follows his time working on a farm in Connecticut and ends with him in Mexico celebrating the college graduation of his eldest daughter. The film was acquired by the New Yorker and went on to win other awards at film festivals including "Best Emerging Filmmaker" at Fayetteville Film Festival.

For more than one hundred years, Cather’s deeply human characters and stories rooted in her own American experience have resonated with readers, and now Cather’s enduring reputation has earned her a place in the National Statuary Hall Collection of the United States Capitol. This short film chronicles Cather’s pursuit of literary acclaim alongside the creation and unveiling of her statue in Washington, D.C.

This is one of the many quick-turn feature videos I edited for BBC Reel, BBC’s video, and short documentary destination. Other videos included a video about the cause of the devastating Maui wildfires, the potential for a “Bug-pocalypse,” a breakthrough drug meant to help with postpartum depression, a unique desert in India going 5,000 years back in time, the invention of the world’s quickest electric vehicle and more.

I freelanced regularly with Brut. America’s Documentary Unit, editing six documentaries ranging in topic from Drag Queens in Tennessee defying looming drag performance restrictions, a wilderness retreat for people in recovery from addiction, behind the scenes of an all-female BDSM film and the first-ever drag performance on Winnebago land.
